◎ ABOUT US

There is a kind of companionship called fighting side by side.

My husband is a people's police officer, and his closest comrade-in-arms is a Labrador working dog named Lucky.

Calm, intelligent, loyal and steadfast, Lucky relies on its sharp sense of smell and fearless courage to stand alongside my husband on the front lines of explosive detection, patrols and search-and-rescue missions. It is never merely a pet, but a family member fighting together with us. Its quiet gaze gives us strength, and its steady steps live up to its mission. The world often praises the dedication of police officers in blue uniforms, yet few notice that working dogs devote their short lives to duty, reserving all their gentleness for their loved ones.

The Search for Lucky’s Eternal Shadow

Lucky left us forever during a mission. My husband was overwhelmed with grief and longing. It dawned on us that though it had kept its promise of loyalty all its life, we had no way to preserve its presence forever.

I searched far and wide, hoping to bring the real Lucky back to life. I wanted something more than a cold ornament or an ordinary toy — a piece that captured its unique look, its aura, and the gentle yet resolute light in its eyes when it looked at us. Later at an art exhibition, I was deeply touched by a lifelike wool felt artwork with exquisite textures. With years of artistic training and experience in sculpting, I know wool felt features a soft texture and rich layers. It is the perfect artistic medium to freeze a pet’s expression and hold onto warm memories, faithfully reproducing physical details while carrying soothing warmth.

Art Built from Sincere Remembrance

I then decided to recreate our Lucky with my professional artistic skills. This creation was never about showcasing craftsmanship, but about fulfilling a heartfelt longing and holding onto precious memories.
As I worked, I came to understand: this is not mere duplication, but a reawakening of memories; not mass production, but a sincere tribute. To portray Lucky authentically, I abandoned rigid assembly-line templates and focused on realistic art. Drawing on my expertise in animal anatomy and light & shadow shaping, I refined the bone structure and body contours unique to Labradors time and again. I carefully differentiated the length, density and shade of every layer of fur, and precisely captured the natural curve of its floppy ears, the lively posture when running and wagging its tail, as well as that special gentle and determined look in its eyes. When the work was finished, it felt as if we had Lucky in our arms once more.

Eternal Loyalty Preserved in Art

These loyal companions fill our lives with joy and precious moments, and they deserve to be remembered forever. The world honors heroes, and we pay tribute to those silent partners who stand beside heroes. I wish to share this comfort and remembrance with everyone who has lost a beloved companion. May loyalty and companionship be eternally preserved through the power of art.
